The Rua family has been working in the paper and cardboard management and recycling industry since the early 40s. In the beginning, the company only consisted of two people and a handcart. Following the evolution of the market´s needs, Rua Papel Gestión S.L. was created: a company which was prepared to meet the challenges of the future and which evolved rapidly and expanded its activities in a larger range of recycling waste products such as plastic, wood, and scrap.

Nowadays, Rua Papel Gestión is a company that distinguishes itself in the industry for its high-quality products and services. Our company has a young but very knowledgeable and experienced board of management staff, which is steadily and firmly leading us in the right direction towards every future advance.

Rua Papel Gestión is firmly committed to the Environment: We recycle in order to contribute to the sustainability of our planet, collecting products that have reached the end of their useful lives and then transforming them into highly valuable raw materials that can be fed back into the manufacturing process. Our processing methods have been improved with the opening of a brand-new waste recycling plant in Sant Andreu de la Barca (Barcelona). It is one of the most innovative recycling plant in Spain and is equipped with the latest generation of machinery, which allows us to increase our capacity of separating, crushing and grinding the waste, turning it into valuable raw materials and improving its local management. We are certified in ISO 14001:2008 and ISO 9001:2004.

We are fully licensed to transport, manage, and recycle your waste material by La Agencia Catalana de Residuos from La Generalitat de Catalunya. In addition, the company has been homologated by the Town Council of Barcelona to perform waste collection services. We take an active part in Reparcar (Asociación Española de Recuperadores de Papel y Cartón), Pimec (Micro, Petita i Mitjana Empresa de Catalunya), Gremi de Recuperació de Catalunya y Uder (Unión de Empresas de Recuperación).
